MESSAGE ANCHORED BY THE GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT.
TOPIC: THE PRIVILEGED PARTAKERS OF THE DIVINE NATURE
TEXTS: 2 PETER 1:3-4; LUKE 6:40; JOHN 14:12; LUKE 1:37; MATTHEW 17:20; MARK 10:27; 9:23.
We are looking at 2 Peter chapter 1 from verse 3 to 4. The word of God says; According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. (2 Peter 1:3-4).
There's a lot in those two verses, it talks about making one's calling and election sure; apparently, we are called to possess the divine Nature of Christ, the word of God says we become partakers of the divine Nature of Christ, and having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. He's speaking about escaping corruption through lust, He's speaking about holding to the true knowledge of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, knowledge which has been conveyed by persons who themselves have seen Jesus and have heard Him teach. and the Lord wants us to grow in that knowledge, and become partakers of the divine Nature.
Possessing the divine nature makes us act like God. And whenever we read the Scripture, we should understand what that mean to us. Everything in the existence are partakers of the divine characteristics of its nature. As the fishes has their own attributes, and the attributes of fish is that it'll be able to swim, and so it is with human race, when we have the divine Nature of Human being of Adam, we are able to walk, we are able to speak and see, and in the locality we are born into, we take the custom of that locality because we are born into that particular locality, the same thing in the family of God, we are born by God, we are purged by Christ, and indwell by the Spirit of God. Then we have the power and the privilege of the divine Nature of God, it's the Spiritual attribute of God, it's divine character of God, it's supernal nature of God, everyone that is complete in Christ, looks as Master stall and be like his Master.
You have to ask yourself this question: how much are you near to the nature of God? How much are you near to remain in the divine Nature of God?
Christ expects that as we are believers, with all those promises He has given us, He expects that we be like Him.
Christ was sent to raise us up and bring us into Glory, and we are going to have the divine Nature of God.
Whenever we read any verse of the Scriptures that goes beyond our experience, we shouldn't dismiss it just because you were not there at that time. The promise of God cannot be measured and because of what He has done for you, you will rise up and do something for Him. The same Faith use about God: "With God nothing shall be impossible", nothing shall be impossible unto us too. As Christ impact His nature to us, nothing shall be impossible unto us.
✔️ A person that knows there's more will aspire.
✔️ A person that knows there's more will ask.
✔️ A person that knows there's more will ascend and advance.
The same words used concerning God: "All things are possible to God", all things are possible to him that believeth.
Through the whole generations Jesus Christ has saved, all things are possible. If you have the divine Nature of God, all things shall be possible unto you. Is a new covenant, and actually it's better than the Old covenant.
🖊 In the old covenant, God healed three million people and no-one was feeble among them.
🖊 In the old covenant, the rod of Moses swallowed up the rod of the magicians.
🖊 In the old covenant, the red sea parted.
🖊 In the old covenant, Jericho walls were fell.
⭕️ In the new covenant, Jesus Christ walked on the water and so Peter did.
⭕️ In the new covenant, dead were raised.
Etc...
The generation of today should not remain at the lower level of Christianity, we have the better covenant and we must wake up if it's going to happen in this dispensation.
✅ You acknowledge that, it is possible, you will acknowledge that this divine nature will produce something in your life.
✅ You must aspire. You will not remain the same you are now. You must make the effort to move forward.
✅ You must ask. If you don't ask, you will not have, but when you ask, you will have a degree that decree.
✅ You must accept. After asking, you must begin to thank God.
✅ Appropriate the transferable attributes of God.
✅ You ascend and advance. In what you do, raise it up, in places you go, lift it up so that it'll not go dead. Do something, if you don't do today more that you did yesterday, you will not know that the Power is there.
✅ Activate it. Don't allow it to remain dormant, you will go higher.
POINT ONE: THE PROOF AND FRUIT OF THE DEPRAVED NATURE.
GENESIS 1:26-27; 3:9; 6:5; EXODUS 32:7; EPHESIANS 2:1-3; ROMANS 1:26,28,32; EPHESIANS 4:17-19.
The intention of God, the purpose and the plan of God was to make man in His own image and in His likeness. He created man in His own divine nature and the image of God was in them, but because they ate the forbidden fruit they shouldn't have ate, they lost the divine Nature and the curse came upon them, they had lost the image of God and the Lord wanted to circumcised their hearts so that they will love Him with all their minds, with all their souls and with all their hearts, and His nature supernatural, His nature righteous, His nature Holiness will be in everyone of them, but they corrupted themselves, the nature of God was no more there, and instead of having the divine Nature they now have the depraved nature which is the nature of Satan. The evil nature has now come in, they lost the divine Nature through the ignorance that is in them because of the blindness of their eyes.
Those who are not saved are part of the world and they had the depraved nature, that's why Christ came, He wanted to restore what we have lost and He wanted to take away the depraved nature so that the divine nature will come, you will operate in that divine nature and when we acknowledge that, we will operate in that divine nature, and it's going to be so. You must start in one-day, this divine nature must be active and operating in your life and you must be able to demonstrate the characteristics of Christ. God is your Father, Jesus is your Saviour.
POINT TWO: THE PROMISE AND FAITH FOR THE DIVINE NATURE.
2 PETER 1:3-4; GENESIS 1:26-27; ROMANS 8:29; 2 CORINTHIANS 6:16-18; 3:18; COLOSIANS 3:1-3.
Christ has given unto us all things, and:
✔️ it's now time for us to acknowledge it.
✔️ It's time we aspire it,
✔️ It's time to ask for it.
✔️ it's time to accept it,
✔️ It's time to appropriate it,
✔️ It's time to ascend and advance and to activate. He has given unto us precious promises, exceedingly great that we might be partakers of the divine nature. You will be a partaker and possessor tonight.
Whenever we come to a higher level like we come to secondary school in educational pursuit, we don't go to primary school again and be learning all alphabets, we don't go back to the primary one again, we don't go to the little little things we used to know before, but we are going to have more knowledge. It's what we are hearing and learning today that we focus on. Christ has given us the divine Nature and it's through His knowledge that calls us to divine nature and to virtues.
God has given us all things pertaining to life and godliness, and we can be Holy and remain Holy. You cannot measure the whole bible with the person that backslidden. He will keep us healthy, we are not going to measure the promises of God by the experience of other people. He has given unto us great and precious promises, and by that we have His Nature and then we escape the corruption of human flesh, we escape the corruption that is moral, the corruption of of lie. Sickness comesto corrupt the body, temptation comes to corrupt the mind, Satan comes to corrupt our minds and intelligent, but you will say no! You will escape the corruption in the world IN Jesus Name.
Christ has come to restore everything we have lost, we now have dominion. Christ is able to restore and to repair whatever Adam lost.
In our lives, in our ministry, He will restore everything we lost in Adam. Think about it, if God can keep you free from sin in one day, He can do it one-day at a time, if God can keep you strong and healthy one-day, He can do it two days, He can do it the rest of your life. You're healed IN Jesus Name. That's God's plan, that's God's intention and His promise for you to be conformed to the image of His Son, you will be like Him IN Jesus Name. He wants us to be conformed to the image of the Son so that we can be like Him.
You are now the temple of the living God. The ark of God in the Old Testament under the Old covenant representing the presence of God was taken by the Philistines, and they put that ark of God in their temple, and there was the idol of those people, baygon, and no priest was there, no prophet was there, just the ark and then the following morning, that baygon fell on the ground, God lives on the inside of you, accept it, appropriate it everyday and then the baygon will fall in your life. And then the following day, Philistines set up the baygon again, and then the following morning, the head, the hands and the legs of that baygon were cut off. Baygon was finished. And God who lives inside you, you must understand it, you will aspire it
At the presence of God, inside you baygon must fall and you will appropriate that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. You will begin to have new experiences from today.
In the new covenant, Peter was walking by the street, and the demonized people, the lame, the blind came just for the shadows of Peter to heal them, and as Peter passed by, they were healed and delivered through his shadow. The same Holy Ghost in Peter is in you. When people get to you, you will lay hand on them and they will be healed. Accept it, activate it, and it will work. The Lord will dwell in you, He will quicken your mortal body even now IN Jesus Name. and everything you're supposed to do, you will do, you will not say you're sick, you will be well, you will not say you're down, you will be up IN Jesus Name. You will be well In Jesus Name. By the stripes of Jesus Christ we are healed. He's not coming back to be beaten again, as you appropriate it and accept it, those stripes will heal you, you're well IN Jesus Name.
Unbelievers lives where we lives, and we lives where they lives, so you're not going to run away from them because anywhere you are, it's your Father's land. He only said you should come out of their way of thinking, of their opinions, come out of their superstition, come out of their corruption, come out of their ideologies, don't talk like them, don't walk like them, don't think like them, when God adopts you, you will walk in Dominion, you will walk in freedom, you will walk in confidence, you will not be thinking of what happened yesterday, you are now the son and daughter of God.
The Almighty calls you His own Son and daughter, things are different now, and the power of that new nature will walk in your life IN Jesus Name. No sin, no sickness, no evil, no oppression, no defeat in Christ and as you're looking at Christ, you're not looking at human being and you're not looking at what you were before, you're looking and gazing upon the Glory of God. With that you are being changed to His Own Image, not from oppression to oppression, things are different now. We are crucified, died, buried with Christ and now we raised with Him. Before He died, Judas Iscariot will betrayed Him, the Pharisees could take hold on Him and scourged Him, the soldiers could nailed Him on the Cross, but that was not the end, the end of your journey, the end of your story has not come. Now the Pharisees could not touch Him and take Him anyone and do what they use to do, and He says now we are identified with Christ. Set your affection, your concentration, your consecration, your focus, your consecration, your love and your very heart on the things above. If you think too much of the things of the earth, you will be earthly and powerless. But because your life is hid with Christ in God, the old life is dead, you will set your affection on Heaven and no termites can eat up your life, no snake will swallow up your life, that life will be ever fresh, every sound and ever healthy. The Lord will preserve your life. And when Christ shall appear, we shall appear with Him in glory.
POINT THREE: OUR PROGRESS THROUGH FOCUS ON HIS DISPLAYED NATURE.
2 PETER 1:3-8.
Christ displayed, disclosed and demonstrated His nature when He was here on earth and we are going to make progress as we focus on His displayed nature.
Christ doesn't calls us to oppression, He doesn't calls us to shame, He doesn't calls us to humiliation, He doesn't calls us to sickness, but now He calls us unto His Glory and virtues. Get up, don't let anybody put their dirty legs on your Heavenly head. According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge of the Lord temperance; self control, whatever is not your business you will remove your hand from there, you don't comment on everything that goes around you, you will not participate in everything that goes about around you and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; just be kind like Christ everywhere and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, and expand, and remain, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. ( 2 Peter 1:3-8). Violence is taken away, you will go with the knowledge of Christ that gives us dominion. He demonstrated His divine nature, that's what we now pursue, it's now demonstrated in our lives.
Add to your faith, meditate on His virtues, have His knowledge, He has lifted you up, accept that knowledge, have self control, whatever is going on and the Lord has not given you access to look into it, leave it, whatever you should not do, don't do it. The very character of God is Godliness. Barrenness Spiritually and physically is taken away, you will not be fruitless anymore. In the knowledge of Jesus Christ that gives us victory, dominion and translation, grow in that knowledge, there should be no doubt in your heart, you have the divine Nature of God and that divine nature will work in your heart effectively. The time has now come, everyone without exception you will activate that divine nature, and everytime you meet any challenge, if you see anyone sick, or oppressed, activate that divine nature, kindness, love will flow through you unto them, you will possess the victory. Accept, acknowledge it, it's yours.
